Various races for city council members are being held in today’s election in the cities of Washington County.  Some of the different races include city council members, mayoral contests in Kalona, Riverside, and West Chester.

Other items on the ballot are for a Park Board member in Washington and for the 1% Local Option Sales Tax in many cities as well.

The polls opened at 12:00 noon and will remain open until 8:00.  KCII will bring you the results of the races in the county after the polls close.
