Motorists will not be able to access one road in central Washington County starting today. Washington County Engineer David Patterson says 270th Street will be closed to thru traffic between Gum Avenue and Highway 1 for a regrading and surfacing project.
He says the work is part of Washington County’s comprehensive road improvement project. Construction is expected to last about two months.
The contract for the project was awarded to DeLong Construction of Washington for $999,000.
