The Washington Demon baseball team begins state tournament play this evening as they face ADM, Adel. The Demons are 29-7 on the season and beat Centerville 16-0 to qualify for the state tournament. ADM is 23-14 and beat two ranked opponents on their postseason road. They beat 10th ranked Dallas Center-Grimes 9-7 and 7th ranked Chariton 7-4 at substate. Heading in Demon Head Coach Nathan Miller says one thing is clear about their opponent, they are aggressive on the base paths with around 150 stolen bases as a team. The Demons will play at 6-tonight which is the first game of the evening session.
