Project managers say construction work is still ahead of schedule on Mid-Prairie School District’s new high school building, and board members had their first walk-through as part of their meeting this week.  District Superintendent Mark Schneider says board members spent about 45 minutes inside the building, with construction manager Rick Kaul explaining the work his company was doing.  Schneider says while it’s important to know what the finished product will look like, he feels the board should know everything about the building itself, including the work being done above the ceilings where the geothermal heating system is being installed.

Schneider says work has been delayed slightly due to a small issue with one of the construction company’s suppliers, but he says the building is still on track to be completed by September 30.
