Governor Terry Branstad has ordered all flags in the state of Iowa to be flown at half-staff beginning at noon today until Monday morning at 8:00. This is in honor of Sergeant Eric Stein from the Keokuk County Sheriff’s office who was killed in the line of duty on Monday. This directive from Governor Branstad applies to all US and state flags.

Governor Branstad encourages everyone to fly their flags at half-staff as a sign of respect. Governor Branstad will be signing a proclamation declaring Sergeant Stein a hero of the state of Iowa.
