The expansion of CIVCO Medical Solutions into Coralville this coming August is on‑track, according to CIVCO Vice President of Human Resources Scott Rude.  CIVCO has expanded its customer base such that the current facility is no longer large enough to fill the needs of the rapidly growing company.  Moving design, engineering, and customer services to Coralville will allow the company to create a broader footprint for manufacturing and distribution in Kalona, according to Rude.

He attributes CIVCO’s continued growth to the technology the company provides that allows clients to create more cost-effective outcomes with less invasive surgical tracking systems among other technologies.  CIVCO was founded in Kalona in 1981.
