The Washington City Council opened bids for work on the wastewater treatment facility Wednesday afternoon and the bids had a wide range.  Steven Troyer from contractor Fox Engineering says they received 7 bids for work on the wastewater treatment plant.  He says bids ranged from just under $15 million to over $17.2 million.

He says the estimate for the project is $16 and a half million and the lowest bid submitted was from Gridor Construction Inc. from Buffalo, Minnesota.  Troyer notes each bid is valid for 45 days and all bids that were submitted will be reviewed and a formal presentation will be made to the City Council at a later date for their consideration.
