The Washington County Secondary Roads Department has set a bid letting date for construction projects and for a fuel contract.  Assistant Engineer Jacob Thorius says they want to surface and grade approximately 6 miles of roadway in eastern Washington County.  He says they have plans for 3 miles of Underwood Avenue north of Ainsworth and for 3 miles of Spruce Avenue west of Ainsworth. He says the bids for these projects are due by 9:00 am Tuesday, April 12th and will be awarded during the Board of Supervisors meeting that morning.

Thorius says they have also established a bid letting date for supplying fuel to the County.  He says they renew their fuel contract every two years.  Thorius adds their current contract expires June 30th. He says they are accepting bids between now and Tuesday, May 3rd by 9:00 am.  Thorius note the bids for all lettings are due in the County Auditor’s office.
