IMS boys basketball team heads up to Marion High School to play for the right to go to the state basketball tournament. As it turns out, IMS will be playing the same school they faced in the last sub-state they played in. In 2009, IMS played Prince of Peace out of Clinton. The two teams faced each other at Cedar Rapids Washington. IMS won 59-51 and ended up third at state behind seniors Jesse Ney and Danny Hershberger. The two schools face each other again today with the same prize on the line, a trip to Des Moines. IMS has couple of seniors who played in that 09 game as sophomores, Jackson Brokaw and Ethan Gingerich. This year IMS comes in 23-1 while Prince of Peace is 22-2.
