Just before 6:00 this morning the Washington County Safety Center received a report of smoke in a house at 720 South Marion Avenue in Washington.  Smoke was seen coming out of the attic of the house.  The fire was extinguished and no one was home at the time.

The Washington Fire Department, Washington Sheriff’s Department and Washington Police Departments and Washington County Ambulance responded to the scene.
