The Keota School Board met Thursday evening and heard from representatives from Shive-Hattery regarding the new addition of the Keota High and Elementary schools.  Superintendent Mark Schneider says there have been some structural issues with this addition and the board is considering different options on how to address those issues.  He says the board will either hold a special work session or will hold a work session during their next regular meeting.

Schneider says the board also heard about Iowa Learning Online.  Iowa Learning Online representatives talked about the numerous students that take classes online and what it is like to take an online class.  Schneider says the board also approved the school calendar for next year during the meeting.  The school board will hold a community meeting on Wednesday in the Keota Schools Gymnasium.
