The Washington Demon volleyball team’s season came to an end last night as they opened the post season with a loss to Clear Creek-Amana. The Clippers won in three 25-12, 25-20, 26-24. Demon Head Coach Jeff Spenner says he knew it would be a good challenge facing Clear Creek-Amana, because he had heard from other coaches who had played them this season that they have been getting better all year and they had a good record. He felt his team played better as the match went along and even played with the lead in the third game. For Washington
Sydney Greiner 5 kills 3 aces
Lauren Vittetoe 4 kills
Cassie Holland 4 kills
Kathleen Kennedy 8 assist
The Demons finish the season 6-21. The Clippers will move on and face number one ranked Mount Vernon.

Elsewhere in 3A, Fairfield also got knocked out in the opening round by Centerville. Centerville won the fifth game 15-9 to win the match. Williamsburg beat Mount Pleasant in three.
