The Washington Demon football will get to measure themselves against two of the top teams in 3A these last two weeks of the season. The Demons nearly pulled off a comeback against South Tama after being down three touchdowns. The Demons ended up losing 35-34. Head Coach Randy Shrader says he feels like the team is right there and they don’t need to make a lot of changes, but the changes they need are primarily made in the off season in the weight room. Shrader says it’s not fun talking about the off season at this point of the season, but they have a couple of strong opponents to close out the season to give them a measurement as to where they are. The Demons host Solon this Friday. The Demon JV team will host South Tama tonight.
