The Demon JV football team played host to Oskaloosa last night. The Demons picked up Oskie because Clear Creek Amana, the varsity opponent last Friday, doesn’t have a junior varsity squad. Washington beat Oskaloosa 24-0. Justin Hoffman connected with Taylor Stout for a 24 yard touchdown, Garrett Covington scored on the two point conversion. Alan Sanchez returned a punt 38 yard for a touchdown and Mitchell Hora converted on the two point conversion. Finally Justin Hoffman threw a 38-yard touchdown pass to Jordan Kay. Defensively, Micheal Hall and Logan Moeller each had interceptions. John Knupp had a fumble recovery. Tanner Knupp had 11 tackles and Jordan Kay had 9 tackles. The Demon varsity team will host Mount Vernon for homecoming on Friday.
