The Washington Public Library has teamed with Cedar Rapids based technology firm Rockwell Collins to host two space themed programs for young children and teenagers. Tomorrow 1st through 6th graders are invited to design and launch paper rockets during “Becoming An Astronaut For A Day” from 10 am to Noon.  From 1:30 to 3:30 6th through 12th graders are invited to “design, build and launch [their] own bottle rocket” in front of the library.  A separate program for adults, hosted by Washington High School class of 1955 graduates and Apollo Program engineers Don Palmer and Paul Graf, is scheduled for 7:30 pm Thursday evening.  More information on all three programs is available at the Washington Public Library.
