A Muscatine man is among nine American troops who died Tuesday in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan. 39-year-old Major Robert F. Baldwin was assigned to 101st Combat Aviation Brigade of Fort Campbell, Kentucky, which deployed in March.  The Department of Defense says the crash took place during combat operations while supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.  The crash was the worst coalition helicopter crash in Afghanistan in four years. The cause of the crash is not yet known.
