The Kalona Public Library was recently approved by the city council for several grants that they are applying for from the Washington County Riverboat Foundation.  Anne Skaden, Kalona Public Library Director says they are applying for two grants to help improve the Library.  One she says is a Children’s Area Makeover project to spruce up the children’s with more board games and other activities to appeal to children.  Skaden says the other grant that they are applying for is a Beautification grant for the front entry of the Library.
