The Washington City Council met yesterday afternoon in special session to approve the sale of its last Industrial Park lot for $10,000. City Administrator David Plyman says the city is selling the land in conjunction with the Washington Economic Development Group, and had planned to charge for $15,000, but lowered the price to stay competitive with cheaper options offered by other cities. Plyman says Washington resident Andrew Drahota purchased the land in Washington’s Industrial Park to open a “woodwork cabinet shop.”
