Yesterday morning the Washington County Board of Supervisors acknowledged the approval of a permit for Bell South animal expansion at 2160 Birch Avenue in Keota. The board also renewed the alcohol permit of the Washington Golf and Country Club before discussing Monday’s E911 Services and Communications meeting.  Supervisor Adam Mangold told the group no official action was taken Monday night, but discussion continued on new site possibilities and whether the current 911 facility could continue to be used.  Washington County Sheriff Jerry Dunbar was also present at Monday’s 911 meeting, and requested $8,000 to install computers in Sheriff’s Department vehicles.  Dunbar says the Department of Transportation will pay 80% of the roughly $48,000 project to install 7 or 8 vehicle computers, a change that will increase the efficiency of his officers.
