The WACO Warrior football team was able to get their sports drink scrimmage in this weekend. The Warriors were suppose to have their on Friday, but a storm came through and postponed it. Head Coach Chad Edeker says they wanted to get it in before the first game, so they scrimmaged Saturday afternoon. Edeker says things looked better than originally thought. He says when you take a team their size and split them into two squads you are going to have a lot of freshmen and sophomores out there and initially it may not look like things went well, but looking at the tape he could see their upper class men were in their right spots and executing. He says they got through the scrimmage without any injuries which is great. WACO opens the season Friday with HLV.
