52 area youth had the opportunity to learn about farm safety the Progressive Agriculture Safety Day held last Friday at the Washington County Fairgrounds.The kids broke into small groups to discuss topics such as stranger danger, animal and fire safety, hidden hazards, disability awareness, lawn mower safety, weather and sun safety, equipment safety and general first aid. The youth also made First Aid Kits as well.   The camp was put on by the Washington County Extension Office with help from Washington FFA, Mid-Prairie FFA, Washington Hospital and Clinics, Washington Sheriff Department, Farmers Implement, and the Washington Fire Department.
