The Washington Community School District has received only one qualifying bid for a project that would refit all district buildings with high speed wireless internet but a school official says the bid is a good deal for the district. Washington Community School District Assistant Director of Technology John Tebockhorst says the roughly $140,000 offer from the nationally-operated tech company Xirrus includes items that are discounted by as much as forty percent and will greatly increase the reach and speed of the district’s wireless internet. The Washington board of education will make a decision on the proposed bid during regular session on Wednesday night.
