It is Election day today and polls will be open from 7-am – 9-pm. County Auditor Bill Fredrick says the voting process is straight forward. If you have already registered, you can walk in to your polling place, state your name and the election official will make sure your name is in the voting register for that precinct. If so, they will give you a declaration to fill out and you can vote. He says if you missed the deadline to pre-register, you can do an Election Day registration. This requires a photo ID and if the ID doesn’t have your address on it you will need something else that has your name as it is on your ID and your address. Fredrick says for those that are doing an Election Day registration it takes  extra time so you will need to be a little patient.
