In track, the Demon girls had one event that was on the bubble of making state and it ended up getting in. In 3A, girls track the top two at regionals go to state and then after that the state takes the top eight times of those not finishing in the top two. The Demons shuttle hurdle team finished third and coach Howard Bean felt there was a good chance they’d make it, and with all the times in they did. Hannah Rich, Regan Enfield, Alexa Walker, and Lucy Libe ran in the event. So the Demons girls are going to state with: high jump, discus, distance medley, 800 meter run, 400 meter hurdles, 4×4, 4×8, and shuttle hurdle. The boys are going in the discus, high jump, 4×2, distance medley, 4×1, 4×4, and 4×8. The state meet will be held later this week.
