There is a slight risk for severe weather today. The National Weather Service says thunderstorms are possible across the area through tonight. They say if severe weather develops, the primary threat would be large hail and damaging winds. Locally heavy rainfall is possible late this afternoon for areas south of a line from Sigourney to Aledo, Illinois.
