Two Henry County men were hospitalized yesterday after being ejected from a vehicle during a traffic accident on highway 218. 57 year old Steven Barnes of Winfield and 55 year old Jack Barnes of Mt. Pleasant were taken to the University of Iowa Hospital for treatment. The Iowa State Patrol says the two men were in a van traveling south on 218 near the 78 Junction at about 5:00 last night. Police say the van was rear-ended by a semi driven by 48 year old Tony Sikes of Avon Illinois. The State Patrol says the accident remains under investigation.
