Three people were hospitalized this morning after a crash on highway-1 south of Kalona. 86 year old Ray J Mourer of Richland, 73 year old Carolean Black of Richland and 24 year old Christina C. Frederick of Kalona were all taken to the University of Iowa Hospital for treatment. The Iowa State Patrol says Frederick was southbound when she lost control, and entered the northbound lane. Her vehicle was then hit broadside by Mourer’s vehicle. Police say the accident remains under investigation and that charges are pending.
