press play to hear from NWS Meteorologist Chris Legro
Even though much of southeast Iowa remains blanketed in snow, the National Weather Service is hoping to get people ready for severe weather associated with warmer temperatures. Meteorologist Chris Legro says they’re offering a storm spotter training session in Washington County next month. Legro says the session will entail storm structure, spotter position and damage reporting. It’s March 17 at 6:30 PM at the Riverside Fire Station. The class is free and open to the public.
