Eastern Iowa Congressman Dave Loebsack says President Obama’s State of the Union Speech “tapped into some of the worries and concerns” he has been hearing around the state. The Mt. Vernon Democrat says the address highlighted “real economic recovery” that comes from small businesses thriving and expanding. Republican Party of Iowa Chairman Matt Strawn says Obama “fails to understand (the) frustration and anger” people are feeling towards the agenda he’s trying to move through Congress. Strawn calls on Iowa Democrats like Loebsack and Leonard Boswell to listen to their constituents who are upset over the president’s policies.
