Iowa received nearly 47,000 of a batch of intranasal H1N1 vaccine now being recalled by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The vaccine is not being recalled due to safety, but because it was found to lose some of its potency after a certain amount of time. The Iowa Department of Public Health says most of the recalled vaccine was administered in October, when potency was not an issue. Because of this, the IDPH says there is no need to revaccinate.
