The seventh ranked Keota Eagle boys basketball team felt they would be facing a good early season test heading into last night’s game against Lynnville-Sully. The two teams were in Keota and ended up playing a tight game throughout and would go to overtime with Keota winning 57-54. The Eagles nearly hurt themselves toward the end with 10 seconds left a Lynnville-Sully player was whistled for an intentional foul but both free throws were missed and Keota turned the ball over on the inbound giving Lynnville the last shot which was missed. Keota Head Coach Dan Stout says they got some good outside shooting at a key time 80821 Overall Stout says it was good to get the win, a good early season test, and they came away looking to improve on their free throw shooting 80822. In the game, Cassey Sieren led with 16 points, Joe Seresky threw in 15, Evan Hammes had 14 and Cody Uphold 9. The Eagles host Montezuma tonight.

On the girls side, they were playing at Lynnvile-Sully as Lynnville beat Keota 62-47.
