The name of a man killed in a weekend bar fight in Washington has been released. The Washington County Communications Center says 45 year old Robert Thomas Blankenship of Washington was pronounced dead at the University of Iowa Hospital Sunday. Eyewitnesses told police Blankenship was found unconscious near an area where several people had been involved in an altercation at the 4th Avenue Bar and Grill. Blankenship was initially taken to Washington County Hospital and later airlifted to the U of I. The incident remains under investigation by the Washington Police Department and the Iowa Department of Criminal Investigations.
