The boil order affecting Crawfordsville has been lifted. The Iowa Department of Natural Resources says the advisory was issued Thursday after a contractor working tot connect the city to Wapello Rural Water broke a main, causing low pressure, which creates the potential for bacterial contamination. They say the city expects to fully connect to the rural water district in the next few weeks. DNR says water sampling indicates that there is no bacterial contamination and residents can now return to using the water without boiling first.
