A Louisa County Sheriff’s Deputy is among the recipients of the Sullivan Brothers Award of Valor. Adam Caudle was given the award by the Governor’s Office. It recognizes “performance of a heroic act above and beyond the normal demands of police and fire service.” Caudle was given the ward for rescuing a person from the Iowa River in March. At the time, the waterway was well beyond flood stage and the temperature was near freezing.
