The Iowa Court of Appeals has ruled that the state has the authority to suspend a Crawfordsville woman’s driver’s license following a fatal crash. Kenna Roth contended the Department of Transportation had exceeded its authority by ordering the suspension. In 2007, Roth pulled out in front of a motorcycle on highway 218. She was found guilty of failing to yield. Both the rider and passenger on the bike were killed. The court said the deaths of the two people “are a reasonable basis for determining Roth’s license should be suspended.”
