Congressman Dave Loebsack is pushing for a revitalization of Iowas schools to make them more energy efficient. The congressman voted to provide schools with nearly 20 million dollars to modernize in the next two years. WACO School District has already taken advantage of green energy, by installing a geothermal heating and cooling system at the high school. Superintendent Greg Ray says the main reason for installing the system was energy costs. He says there are other projects at the school for which government grants would be helpful.
