Yesterday was the deadline for candidates seeking municipal office in November to file paperwork. Washington City Clerk Illa Earnest says mostly incumbents have done so. Roger Miller is running for mayor as well as incumbent Sandra Johnson At large councilors Merle Hagie and Karen Wilson-Johnson are up for reelection. The fourth ward’s Fred Stark and second ward’s Russ Zieglowsky are also seeking their seats again. Park Board incumbents Don Pfeifer and Fran Stigers have also filed to run again
