Funeral Mass for 78 year old Joan (pronounced JoAnn) Hammen of Harper is 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2010, at Holy Trinity Parish – St. Mary Catholic Church in Keota.  Burial will be at Holy Trinity Cemeteries – St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Harper.  Visitation is from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 15, 2010, at Powell Funeral Home in Keota, where there will be a wake service at 5:00 p.m.  Memorials will go towards the memorial marker for St. Elizabeth Church in the St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Joan’s name.

Funeral services for 87 year old Violet Mae Erwin of Washington will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington.  Burial will be in the Elm Grove Cemetery.  Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the service.  A memorial has been established to the American Cancer Society and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

Burial will follow at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington, with full military honors by American Legion Post #29 of Washington. Visitation will be held from noon to 7pm on Monday (1/11) at the Beatty Funeral Home. Family will be present from 5-7. A memorial has been established for the 1st Assembly of God Church or Hospice of Washington County.
