Funeral Service Announcements

Funeral Services for 74 year old Franklin D. Wenger of Mount Pleasant, formerly of Washington will be held at 11:00 am Friday at the First Christian Church in Washington.  Burial will follow at the Elm Grove Cemetery.  Visitation begins at noon Thursday at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington with family present from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.  A memorial has been established to Great River Hospice.

Funeral services for 60 year old Steven Boyd of Columbus Junction will be held at 11 am Saturday at the Stacy-Lewis Hone for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction. Burial will be in the Columbus City Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 4-8 pm. A general memorial fund has been established.

Funeral services for 80 year old Phyllis Gingerich of Kalona are at 10:30 am Saturday at the Wellman Mennonite Church in Wellman. Burial will be in the Wellman Mennonite Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2-8 pm on Friday at the Yoder-Powell Funeral Home in Kalona where the family will greet friends from 2-4 and 6-8 in the evening. Memorials have been established to Iowa City Hospice and Pleasantview Home.

Funeral services for 99 year old Marjory Gould will be held at 10:30 A.M Monday (6/14) at the Richland United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Richland Friends Cemetery. Visitation at Gould Funeral Home in Richland will open at 2:00 P.M. Sunday with the family present 6-8:00 P.M. Westen of Washington will be held at 10:30 am Thursday at the First Baptist Church.  Burial will take place at the Elm Grove Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday at the First Baptist Church with family visitation from 5:00 to 8:00 that evening.  A memorial has been established to First Baptist Church, Halcyon House Good Samaritan Fund or Hospice of Washington County.

Memorial services for 93 year old Ruth Morris of Washington will be held 11:00 am Wednesday at the United Presbyterian Church in Washington.  Burial will take place at Harrison Cemetery in rural Wapello.  Family visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 Wednesday at the church.  A memorial has been established to the John and Ruth Morris Welcome Center at Camp Wyoming.

Funeral Services for 90 year old Sally McClure of Washington is 10:30 Thursday (6/10) morning at St. James Catholic Church. Burial is at Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. Visitation is at noon on Wednesday (6/9) at Jones Eden Funeral Home. Family visitation is 6 to 8 Wednesday (6/9) evening, followed by a prayer service. A memorial has been established to Hospice of Washington County.

Funeral Services for 73 year old Lorene E. Leichty of Wayland will be at 2:00 Sunday (6/6) afternoon at Sugar Creek Mennonite Church. Burial will be in the Sugar Creek Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2pm Saturday at Sugar Creek Mennonite Church near Wayland where family will receive friends from 5-7 that evening.
