Funeral Service Announcements

Funeral Services for 75 year old Jose E. Torres of Washington will be held at 11:00 tomorrow (8/2) morning at the United Methodist Church in Washington. Visitation will be at 10am until the time of the service at the United Methodist Church with family visitation from 10 to11am. Burial will take place at the Cyprus Grove Cemetery in New Orleans, LA at a Later Date. A memorial has been established for the United Methodist Church of Washington.

Funeral services for 86 year old Clarence “Shorty” Hartman of Washington, Formerly of Columbus Junction and Muscatine are Tuesday (8/3) afternoon at 2:00 at the George M.Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation services in Muscatine. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Funeral services for 96 year old Victor Eugene Deutsch of East Pleasant Plain are Wednesday at 10:30 am at SS. Joseph and Cabrini Church in East Pleasant Plain with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.  Visitation is tomorrow at 5 pm, with the family present from 5-7.  Memorials for SS. Joseph and Cabrini Church or masses may be left at the church or mailed to the family.

Visitation for 96 year old Alice Smith of West Liberty will be held Tuesday from 4 – 8 pm at the Sorden-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Lone Tree.  A private funeral service will be held and burial will be in the Lone Tree Cemetery.

Funeral services for 23 year old Justin E Boney of Washington will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday at the Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington.  Burial will take place at the Aledo Cemetery in Aledo, Illinois at 1:00 pm Wednesday.  Visitation will be held at 3:00 pm Tuesday at the Jones-Eden Funeral Home with family visitation from 4:00 to 7:00 that evening.  A general memorial has been established.

Funeral Services for 60 year old Ronald Lewis of Columbus Junction is at 10:30 Tuesday morning at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction. Visitation is Monday from 4 to 7pm at the the Funeral Home. Burial is at the Columbus City Cemetery. A memorial has been established at the Funeral Home.

Celebration of Life Services for 89 year old Alice Goodwin of Kalona will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at the Kalona United Methodist Church.  Burial will be in the Wellman Public Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Friday from 2:00 to 7:00 with family present from 2 – 4 and from 5 – 7 at the Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona.

Funeral services for 95 year old Pauline Dill of Keota will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 24 at the United Church of Faith in Keota.  Burial will be at Keota Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the church. A memorial fund has been established for the Ron Dill Memorial Field or Keota QRS.
