Funeral Services for 69 year old Carol Johnson of Lone Tree will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 18 at the United Presbyterian Church in Lone Tree. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 17 from 4-8pm at the Sorden-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Lone Tree. Burial will be in the Lone Tree Cemetery. Memorial has been established for the Iowa City Hospice.

Linda Chalupa

Services for 59 year old Linda Chalupa of Ainsworth will be at 10:30 am Monday at the Ainsworth Community Church.  Visitation is 11:00 am Sunday at the Jones Eden Funderal Home.  A memorial has been established to the Ainsworth Community Church and Boy Scout Troop 235 of Riverside.

Funeral services for 77 year old Janice C. Freyenberger of Wayland will be held Sunday, Aug. 15 at 4 p.m. at Sugar Creek Mennonite Church in rural Wayland. Visitation is Saturday, Aug. 14 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church. Private family burial is at Sugar Creek Mennonite Cemetery. A memorial is established to Water For Life and the Gideon’s.

Funeral services for 96 year old Geraldine Schomberg of Letts are 10:30 am Monday at Letts United Methodist Church, with visitation Sunday from 4 to 7 pm at the Stacy Lewis Home For Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery in Muscatine. A memorial has been established for Letts United Methodist Church, the Food Pantry of Louisa County and World Neighbors.

Funeral services for 75 year old Maxine Joy McSorley of Winfield will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Friday, Aug. 13 at the Kimzey Funeral Home. Burial will be at Bethel Cemetery in Wapello. Friends can call the funeral home from noon to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 12 . The family will be present to receive friends from 6-8 P.M. Thursday evening.

Funeral services  and burial for 71 year old Sandra Sieren of Keota are 10:30 AM Wednesday (8/11) at Holy Trinity Parish – St. Mary Catholic Church in. Visitation is Tuesday (8/10)  from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Powell Funeral Home in Keota, with a Rosary service at 4:00 and a Wake Service at 7:00. A memorial fund has been established for Keota QRS, Maplewood Manor and Washington County Hospice.

Funeral services for 88 year old June Goschke of Wellman are 10:30 am Thursday  at the First Baptist Church in Wellman with burial in the Wellman Cemetery.  Visitation is from 2 to 8 pm tomorrow at the Powell Funeral Home in Wellman with the family present from 4 to 8.  Memorials have been established to First Baptist and the Wellman Heritage Society.

Memorial Graveside services with military honors for 70 year old Donald Gilliland  of Sigourney are Friday, August 20, at Pennington Cemetery in rural Sigourney.  No visitation will be held, and memorials may be sent to the Carroll Assistance Center.
