Funeral Service Announcements

Celebration of Life Services for 61-year-old Roger Westendorf of Keota, will be held at 11:00 Tuesday (11/9) morning at the United Church of Faith in Keota. Visitation will be from 4 until 8pm tomorrow (11/8) at the church. A memorial fund has been established for the United Church of Faith.

Funeral services for 99-year-old Rubie Raben of Lone Tree will be held at 2:00 Thursday (11/11) afternoon at Powell Funeral Home in Sigourney. Burial will be at Garrett Cemetery near Delta. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home. A general memorial fund has been established.

Funeral services for 86 year old Mahlon A. Miller of Kalona will be at 10 Tuesday (11/9) morning at the Sunnyside Conservative Mennonite Church in Kalona. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in rural Kalona. Visitation will be from 2-8 pm on Monday (11/8) at the Yoder-Powell Funeral Home in Kalona where the family will greet friends from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A memorial has been established for Sunnyside Conservative Mennonite Church Missions.

Funeral services for 92 year old Leah Herring of Lone Tree will be at 10:00 Wednesday (11/10) morning at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Hills. Burial will take place at the St. Stanislaus in rural Hills. Visitation will be held at the Sorden-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Lone Tree from 4-7 pm on Tuesday (11/9) with a prayer service at 7.

Funeral Service for 87 year old Dale Byerly of Ainsworth is Monday (11/8) morning at 10:30 at the Ainsworth Community Church.  Burial will take place at the Oregon Township Cemetery in Ainsworth.  Visitation calling hours will begin at 2:00 Sunday (11/7) afternoon at the Jones-Eden Funeral Home.  Family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6 to 8:00.  A memorial has been established to Hospice of Washington County and Ainsworth Community Church.

Graveside Service for 72 year old Betty Ann Carnes of Phoenix, Arizona is Sunday (11/7) afternoon at 2:00 at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington.  The Jones Eden Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Graveside service for 93 year old Florence Rich of Grants Pass, Oregon, formally of Washington, is Friday November 12^th (11/12) at 9:30am at the Eicher Cemetery.  Beatty Funeral Home in Washington is assisting with arrangements.

Funeral Services for 85 year old Mary Kathleen Adam Duwa of Washington are Thursday (11/4) morning at 10:30 at St. James Catholic Church. Burial is at the Elm Grove Cemetery. Visitation is at 4:00 tomorrow (11/3) afternoon at St. James Catholic Church. Family visitation is from 5 to 7 tomorrow evening at St. James Church. Prayer service is at 5:00 tomorrow evening at the church. A memorial has been established to St. James Parish & Hospice of Washington County.
