Washington United Methodist Church is celebrating Palm Sunday with BRING A FRIEND Sunday on March 28, 2010.Friends, Relatives, Acquaintances, and Neighbors of church members and attendees are invited to a day to honor them! Brunch and Lunch will be served. Three worship services will celebrate the arrival of Jesus into Jerusalem with waving palm branches and special music. RSVP 653-5446 for brunch or lunch served at church on Sun, March 28. Worship at 7:45, 9 and 10:30 am. Brunch is at 8:30 and Lunch is at 11:30 AM.

Wellman Mennonite Church is having a Mush Fry Sunday March 14th from 11:30 to 1:00. Fried mush, tomato gravy, liverwurst, scrambled eggs and sausage applesauce will be on the menu. Donations will be accepted. Proceeds are to benefit the Wellman Mennonite Church youth group ministries.

The Oakville United Methodist Promise Circle will be holding their 22nd annual Taco Supper on Saturday, March 13 at the Oakville Community Building from 5:00-7:30. Tacos, taco baskets with all the toppings along with hamburgers and desserts will be on the menu. Carry-out is also available and a free will donation will be taken.

The West Chester Community Action Team will be holding a Taco & Potato Bar Dinner on Saturday March 13th from 4:30-7:00 P.M. at the West Chester United Methodist Church. Tacos, Potatoes with all the toppings and trimmings plus chicken enchiladas will be on the menu that night. Free Will Donations will be accepted and go toward the purchase of a security light for the Heritage Building, City Hall and Park. All are invited!

Children of the community are invited to “Faith Nuggets” at the Washington Mennonite Church on Mondays beginning February 22nd through March 22. It’s for 4 year olds through 5th graders. They will have bible stories, crafts, music, fun and treats. There is no cost. Call 461-0970 for more information.

on Saturday March 20th from 5 to7pm at the Columbus City Masonic Lodge. It is a Free will offering event.

A new ecumenical contemporary Christian service will begin on Sunday February 21, 2010, and continue each Sunday thereafter, at the South English Baptist Church, 406 Church St., South English. The one hour service will follow the traditional service in the basement of the Church beginning at 12:00pm. A potluck lunch and fellowship will follow at 1:00pm. All denominations are invited and all are welcome! No offering will be taken. Please come join us as we lift our hands and voices to the King of Kings! Kidz Klub will resume Wednesday, at Washington United Methodist Church. This program is free to children Kindergarten through 6th Grade, however, pre-registration is required. The Washington Area Habitat for Humanity will be having a Soup Luncheon and Dinner fund-raiser coming up on Tuesday. It will be held at the United Presbyterian Church in Washington with lunch serving from 11am – 1pm and dinner from 4:30 – 7:00pm. Carry-out will also be available. A free-will donation will be accepted and all proceeds will go to help support your local Washington Area Habitat for Humanity.

The Columbus Presbyterian Church is hosting a free concert of Christian Music, Sunday, Jan 31 at 2:30pm. The concert will feature “Fellowship”, a men’s quartet from the Columbus Presbyterian Church, and “Selah” a women’s group from Winfield. Refreshments will be served after the concert.
