Title: Washington Firemen Pancake Day
Location: Washington Fire Station
Description: The Washington Firemen will be hosting a Pancake Day on Wednesday, the 13th at the Washington Fire station. They will be serving from 11am until 1 pm, and again at 5 until 7 pm. Tickets are $7 in advance, or $8 at the door for adults, and kids are $5 in advance, and $6 at the door. Purchase tickets from any fireman, or at the fire station

Title: IMS Music Booster Fund-Raiser
Location: Pizza Ranch in Iowa City
Description: Iowa Mennonite School’s Music Boosters are holding a fund-raiser on Monday, January 18, at the Pizza Ranch in Iowa City. Music students from IMS will be bussing tables at the Sycamore Mall location; in exchange, Pizza Ranch will donate 10% of the total gross sales between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. In addition, all tips and gratuities collected in that time will also be given to the IMS organization. All funds raised will go to support the efforts of the Music Boosters.

Title: Coaches vs. Cancer Bake Sale
Location: Washington Hy-Vee
Description: The Coaches vs. Cancer event in Washington has a bake sale (Today/tomorrow) Saturday at the Washington Hy-Vee from 8-to-noon. Hy-Vee will also have “round-up” at there registers where you can round your purchase up to the next dollar and donating $1 for every pink item sold from the bakery. Proceeds will go towards the Washington County Relay for Life. This fundraiser is at the Washington Hy-Vee Saturday from 8-to-noon.

Description: The Knights of Columbus will be hosting a Roast Beef Supper at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Riverside, on Saturday starting at 6:00pm. Title: American Legion Riders 3rd Annual Soup Supper
Location: National Guard Readiness Center, Hwy 1 South Washington
Description: The American Legion Riders 3rd Annual Soup Supper will be held on February 27 at the National Guard Readiness Center, Hwy 1 South Washington serving 5:30 to 8. The Riders will provide meals that evening to 90 National Guard members who will be deployed late this year as a sign of support and a thank you for the use of the Readiness Center. Title: 4-H Skating Party
Location: Wellman Rec. Center
Description: The Washington County 4-H County Council will be holding a 4-H Skating Party on Sunday, January 17, from 1p.m.to 4p.m. at the Wellman Rec. Center. Youth in grades K-4th are encouraged to come at 1:00 to get a head start on skating. All youth can skate from 2:00-4:00. Everyone is welcome! The cost is $4 to skate. Title: Nature CSI
Location: Marr Park
Description: Nature CSI will be held at Marr Park Saturday, March 20th at 1pm. Enjoy the first day of spring and set out to solve a mystery. You’ll be a crime scene investigator set out to discover what happened. There will be a mock crime scene inside, and then you’ll use those skills you learned outdoors.
