Title: Soup Luncheon and Dinner fund-raiser
Location: United Presbyterian Church in Washington
Description: The Washington Area Habitat for Humanity will be having a Soup Luncheon and Dinner fund-raiser coming up on Tuesday, January 26th. It will be held at the United Presbyterian Church in Washington with lunch serving from 11am – 1pm and dinner from 4:30 – 7:00pm. Carry-out will also be available. A free-will donation will be accepted and all proceeds will go to help support your local Washington Area Habitat for Humanity.

Location: Ikes “New” Clubhouse on County Road X-61 near Wapello
Description: Beat the winter blues with the Louisa County Izaak Walton League at three annual Friday fish fries: Friday, January 15; Friday, February 19 and Friday, March 19. Serving begins at 6:00 pm and costs $9 per person and kids are ½ price.

Title: Potato Bar
Location: Bethel Mennonite Church
Description: Dunamis Youth Group from Bethel Mennonite Church will host a Potato Bar on Wednesday, January 20th from 5:00 – 7:30 at Bethel Mennonite Church. Bethel is located 3 miles north of Wayland on W55. Proceeds will benefit the church college fund and Dunamis going to summer Bible Camp. Free will donations will be taken at the door.

Description: ) Tuesday, the19th the Washington Chamber of Commerce is hosting an Alive After 5 at the Chamber of Commerce building located at 205 W Main Street in the Bryson Block Building. All Chamber members, employees and anyone interested in becoming a Chamber Member is invited from 5-7pm. This Alive After 5 is the kick off event for the 75th Anniversary celebration of the Chamber of Commerce.

Description: St. James Catholic School is holding a early childhood information fair to promote healthy families while providing early childhood information. 3. 4 and 5 year olds and their parents are invited to St. James Catholic School Wednesday, January 13th from 6-7:30pm. There will be informational booths with information on lead checks, developmental stages, immunization, bicycle safety and more.

Title: Washington Firemen Pancake Day
Location: Washington Fire Station
Description: The Washington Firemen will be hosting a Pancake Day on Wednesday, the 13th at the Washington Fire station. They will be serving from 11am until 1 pm, and again at 5 until 7 pm. Tickets are $7 in advance, or $8 at the door for adults, and kids are $5 in advance, and $6 at the door. Purchase tickets from any fireman, or at the fire station

Title: IMS Music Booster Fund-Raiser
Location: Pizza Ranch in Iowa City
Description: Iowa Mennonite School’s Music Boosters are holding a fund-raiser on Monday, January 18, at the Pizza Ranch in Iowa City. Music students from IMS will be bussing tables at the Sycamore Mall location; in exchange, Pizza Ranch will donate 10% of the total gross sales between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. In addition, all tips and gratuities collected in that time will also be given to the IMS organization. All funds raised will go to support the efforts of the Music Boosters.
