Title: Movie Nights
Location: Kalona Public Library
Description: Bright Futures Chiropractic hosts monthly movie nights with a variety of films that focus on various aspects of our health and wellness. The fourth film in the series, Food, Inc., focuses on the on the complexities of our food system. Title: Kalona Rec Center Open House
Location: Kalona Rec Center
Description: On Friday, March 12th from 3:30-5:30pm, the Kalona Rec Center will be hosting an open house event for kids and teens. Stop in for games, a movie, free snacks and drinks, Walleyball, and more. The Kalona Youth Services Librarian will also be providing crafts at the Rec Center from 3:30-4:30PM. Admission and programs are free of charge. Please contact the Rec Center at 319-656-2310 with any questions.

Title: Pancake Breakfast
Description: Riverside volunteer Fire, Rescue and EMS is hosting a Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, March 28th, from 7 to 1pm. Adults eat for $5, children $3 and kids under 5 eat for free.

Title: Girl Scout Cookie Booth
Description: Girl Scout troops 9244 and 9259 will be having a cookie booth at Fareway in Washington on Saturday March 6th from 9 to 11 am.

Title: Taco & Potato Bar Dinner
Location: West Chester United Methodist Church.
Description: The West Chester Community Action Team will be holding a Taco & Potato Bar Dinner on Saturday March 13th from 4:30-7:00 P.M. at the West Chester United Methodist Church. Tacos, Potatoes with all the toppings and trimmings plus chicken enchiladas will be on the menu that night. Free Will Donations will be accepted and go toward the purchase of a security light for the Heritage Building, City Hall and Park. All are invited!

Title: “Hoops for Haiti”
Location: WACO High School
Description: In an effort to raise money for relief for the nation of Haiti, the WACO High School Student Council is sponsoring a fundraising basketball game. “Hoops for Haiti” will feature previous WACO basketball players competing against current WACO players. Former players from the 70’s up to 2000 will be playing. Admission is free will donation, with all proceeds benefiting Haiti. “Hoops for Haiti” is this Friday evening at six at WACO High School.

Description: Washington High School is sponsoring a blood drive for the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center on Wednesday, March 10th from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm at Washington High School Gymnasium.

Title: Breakfast Buffet
Location: Ainsworth Opera House
Description: Ainsworth Opera House will be holding their March breakfast buffet on Saturday March 6th. They open at 7 am and close at 9 am. The cost is $7 a person and 12 and under is free. This is a fundraiser for the upkeep on the building. Many breakfast items will be on the menu such as ham, biscuits and gravy, sausage, scotch eggs, bubble and squeak, scrambled eggs, casseroles, salads, rolls, and drinks.

Title: Muscatine Amateur Radio Club
Location: Musser Public Library
Description: The Muscatine Amateur Radio Club will meet Monday March 8th at 7:00pm in the upper-level meeting room at the Musser Public Library, 304 Iowa Avenue in Muscatine. All amateur radio operators, and those interested in learning more about amateur radio, are invited to attend.
