The Demon wrestlers won there three duals at Lone Tree last night. Taking on Lone Tree, English Valley, and Tipton, the Demons went 13-5 on the evening as far as matches.

Demons and Chiefs have tight dual

The Demons wrestled the Keokuk Chiefs to a close dual last night in Keokuk with the Chiefs winning by two points. Keokuk won 42-40, both teams won seven matches but the difference was the Chiefs got seven pins and the Demons got six pins and a major decision. Winning matches for Washington:

135 Tyler Jaspering pin
145 Clint Stout major decision 10-1
152 Travis Shellman pin
160 Joel Vittetoe pin
HWT Tyler McDonald pin
The Demons are headed to a dual tournament at Dike-New Hartford tomorrow where they’ll see five other teams. Demon Head Coach Brent Van Weelden says this will be a nice change from the typical weekend tournament will give them more of a taste of the team aspect of the sport which is something they have been emphasizing.

The Washington Demon wrestling squad heads to Keokuk tonight for a conference dual. Demon Head Coach Brent Van Weelden says wrestling the Chiefs is always a challenge, they have won the conference title for the last few years.

Demons open conference wrestling season

The Washington Demon wrestling squad is scheduled to open their conference dual season hosting Fairfield. Tonight is Parents’ Night. The Demons opened their season with a close loss to Louisa-Muscatine and beat Highland.
