UPC Festival of Arts will be kicking off this month on January 10th. The church will be accepting and displaying works of art created by artists and crafts-people from our congregation and community as we head into our Festival of Arts. This will culminate on January 30 with the Festival of Arts. On January 30, all pieces will be displayed throughout 10:30 worship, during lunch following worship and after the annual meeting that day. Following the Festival of Arts in the sanctuary, the Festival will move to the Washington Public Library Helen Wilson Gallery, February 7 through February 18. The Theme will be a year in the bible, all pieces must display the scripture which was the inspiration for the work.
Parents interested in enrolling their kids in First Presbyterian Church’s Kingdom Kids preschool can contact Director Brenda Miles, official registration will begin in March.
On Sunday, January 2 at the Washington Presbyterian Church the Paiva family will be honored as they return to their mission work in Paraguay.
The Annual Washington Presbyterian Church Meeting of the Congregation/Corporation will be held on Sunday, January 30, following the 11:30 lunch. The purpose of the meeting is to hear the reports of the church and to vote on the pastor’s salary. Please bring a salad or dessert to share for the meal. Meat and rolls will be provided. Also, please bring your own table service
Washington Presbyterian Church’s ‘Read and Feed’ Book Club will meet on Thursday, January 20, at 11:45 a.m. in the church library. Each person is to choose one of Beverly Lewis’ “Annie’s People” series. The Amish community is the central theme of these novels. Several are available in the church library. Don’t forget to bring your lunch!
Washington Presbyterian Churches Adult Social Fellowship will meet on Sunday, January 2, at 6:30 p.m. at the church for Movie Night. Wayne Brock is the host. Bring sandwiches, a salad or a sweet and table service.
