Warriors set to face Redhawks in the dome

The WACO Warriors play in semifinal action today in the Iowa high school football playoffs. The Warriors face the North Tama Redhawks. WACO is ranked fourth in the state and North Tama is ranked third.

WACO heads to Lisbon for quarterfinal

The fourth ranked WACO Warriors head to Lisbon tonight to play in the quarterfinals of the high school football playoffs. This is a rematch of the district championship game the two teams played the last week of the regular season. That game was also at Lisbon and saw the Warriors win 38-8. WACO beat HLV 30-15 while Lisbon beat the neighboring district champ BGM 28-0. Heading into tonight WACO Head Coach Chad Edeker says this group’s goal has been getting to the semis and a win tonight would get them there. Edeker says a trip to the semis would be a first for WACO High School. You’ll be able to hear tonight’s game right here on the one to count on KCII. WACO faces HLV tonight

In Class A, the WACO Warriors will host HLV tonight. WACO beat Iowa Valley 57-7 in the opening round while HLV beat Lone Tree 35-24.
