Power Outage

Shortly before noon today Alliant Energy Reported 2478 customers without power in Washington County and 18 without power in Johnson County.  Listener reports indicate outages in the Kalona, Richmond and Riverside areas.  Power was restored at 2:00 p.m. KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.

Gale Hunt

Memorial Services for 70 year old Gale Hunt of Riverside will be at 1:30pm Sunday (12/19) at the Sorden Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Riverside. Visitation will be Sunday (12/19) from 12:30pm until service time at the funeral home.

Judge Orders Riverside To Pay Washington County $350,000, Resume $175,000 Yearly Payments

A judge has ordered the City of Riverside to pay Washington County $350,000 and continue with yearly $175,000 repayments for more than $9 million in Tax Increment Financing Bonds that were used to upgrade Riverside’s  sewer and water system in connection with the building of the Riverside Casino And Resort.
